The Camel Who Trusted Wrongly
A lost camel wandered into the forest. The lion king welcomed him kindly.
"Stay with us," said the lion. "You are my guest, and no one may trouble you."
The camel grew happy and fat. But a jackal, a crow and a leopard grew jealous.
They whispered clever words until the poor camel believed they were his friends.
They led him far from the lion's protection, and he was left alone and hungry.
The camel found his way home at last, and never again followed friends he did not know well.
Choose your friends slowly. Sweet words are not the same as true care.
