The Lion and the Bull
A strong lion named Pingalaka ruled a green forest. One day he met a gentle bull named Sanjivaka.
They talked, they laughed, and soon they were the best of friends. The whole forest was happy.
But a sly jackal was jealous. He whispered to the lion, "The bull wants your crown."
Then he whispered to the bull, "The lion plans to hurt you." Both friends grew afraid.
They stopped talking. Their long friendship ended over words that were never true.
The jackal smiled. But the forest was never happy again.
Do not believe gossip about a friend. Go and ask your friend instead.
