The Blue Jackal
A jackal was running from some dogs. He jumped into a big tub of blue dye.
When he climbed out, he was bright blue from nose to tail. No animal had ever seen such a colour.
"I am the king sent from the sky!" he said. The animals bowed. He ate the best food and sat on a high rock.
One evening the other jackals began to howl at the moon. The blue jackal forgot himself and howled too.
Everyone knew that howl. "He is only a jackal!" they cried.
He ran away, and never pretended again.
Pretending to be someone else never lasts. Be who you really are.
