The Weaver's Two Choices
A weaver met two spirits on the road. "Choose," they said. "Be rich and stingy, or poor and generous."
He thought about the rich man in his village who never shared a single grain.
Nobody visited him. Nobody sat with him. His house was full and his days were empty.
Then he thought about the poor man who shared his thin soup with everyone.
His pot was small, but his house was always full of laughter.
"Give me the second life," said the weaver, and he was never sorry.
A house full of friends is richer than a house full of things.
