The Turtle's Welcome
The crow and the mouse travelled far to find a safer home and reached a wide lake.
An old turtle swam up. "You look tired," he said. "Rest here as long as you wish."
He did not ask where they came from or what they could give him.
He simply made room, shared the shade, and listened to their story.
That is how a friendship of four began, and it lasted all their lives.
Making room for someone new can be the start of a long friendship.
