The Elephants and the Mice
A herd of elephants walked to the lake through an old ruined village where many mice lived.
Their heavy feet crushed the little homes. The mouse chief came out and bowed.
"Great king, please choose another path," he said. The elephant king kindly agreed.
Months later, hunters trapped the whole herd in strong ropes.
The mouse chief heard the news and brought thousands of mice.
They nibbled every rope until the elephants stood free. Small kindness had come back very big.
