The Three Fish
Three fish lived in a quiet pond. Their names were Forethought, Readywit and Lazy.
One evening some fishermen passed by. "We will bring our nets tomorrow," they said.
Forethought heard them. "Let us leave tonight," he said, and swam away to the river at once.
Readywit waited. "I will think of something if trouble comes," he said.
Lazy yawned. "Nothing ever happens here," he said, and went to sleep.
The nets came. Readywit floated still and was thrown back as dead, but Lazy was caught fast asleep.
It is best to plan ahead. Waiting for trouble is a poor plan.
