The Frog Who Rode a Snake
An old frog king was tired and could not hop about his pond any more.
He met a clever snake and said, "Carry me on your back, and I will show you my kingdom."
The snake agreed, and the frog rode about proudly for all his people to see.
But the snake was hungry, and every day fewer frogs were seen at the pond.
"Where is everyone?" asked the king at last, looking around the empty water.
He had invited danger inside his own home, and it was very hard to send it away.
