The Brahmin's Goat
A kind man was carrying a fine goat home on his shoulders.
Three tricksters saw him and made a plan. They stood far apart along the road.
The first said, "Why do you carry a dog, sir?" The man laughed. "It is a goat."
A little further, the second asked the same thing. The man began to feel unsure.
When the third said it too, he put the goat down and hurried away, quite confused.
The tricksters took the goat, and the man learned to trust his own two eyes.
If many people repeat something, it still does not make it true.
