Lakshmana Comes Along
When Lakshmana heard that Rama was going to the forest, he did not think twice.
"I am coming too!" he said. "I will help you and keep watch. Wherever you go, I will be there."
Rama smiled. "The forest will be hard, brother."
"Then I will make it easier for you," Lakshmana replied.
So the loyal brother packed his things. He would spend fourteen years helping Rama and Sita, never once complaining.
