Bharata Says No to the Throne
Back in Ayodhya, people wanted Bharata to become the new king.
But Bharata shook his head firmly. "No," he said. "The throne belongs to my brother Rama, not to me. It would not be fair or honest for me to take it."
Bharata loved Rama with all his heart. He did not want a crown that was not his.
"I will not sit on that throne," he promised. "It is Rama's place."
Even though he could have been king, Bharata chose to be honest and fair.
Being honest and fair is more important than being powerful.
