The Ox Who Judged Too Fast
An ox saw a young calf standing beside a broken fence and a trampled field.
"You did this," he said at once, and told the whole herd about it.
The calf tried to explain, but nobody wanted to listen to a small voice.
The next morning the farmer found deep wheel marks and a lost cart in the field.
It had been the cart all along, and the calf had only come to look.
The ox went to the calf and said sorry, which took more courage than accusing had.
