The Fisherman's Three Nets
A fisherman owned three nets, and every evening he mended them before sleeping.
One night he was tired and left one small hole unmended.
"It is only a finger wide," he told himself. "What can slip through that?"
In the morning he cast the net and pulled up a wonderful catch.
But the hole had grown all night in the water, and by the time he reached the shore the net was nearly empty.
He mended every net that evening, however tired he was.
Small jobs left undone become big problems later.
