The Camel's Bell

Story 68 Losing What You Won 1 min read Ages 3–10

A merchant tied a little bell around his camel's neck so he could find him easily.

The camel liked the sound and shook his head to make it ring as he walked.

"Be careful," said the merchant. "That bell tells everyone exactly where you are."

The camel took no notice and jingled merrily along the lonely forest road.

Soon he found himself surrounded by animals who had simply followed the sound.
