The Barber Who Was Too Quick
A barber heard that a certain visitor had once brought a family great good fortune.
He did not stop to ask how, or why, or what had really happened.
He simply decided that visitors themselves must be lucky and invited a great many.
He filled his house with guests he could not feed and promises he could not keep.
Soon the neighbours were angry and the barber was in a great deal of trouble.
The judge listened and said, "He acted first and thought afterwards. That is always the wrong order."
