The Kind Awakening
On their journey, Rama saw a large gray stone shaped almost like a resting woman.
The sage explained, "This is Ahalya. Long ago she made a mistake and has been waiting sadly, still as stone, for a long, long time."
Rama did not judge her. He felt only kindness. Gently, he touched the stone with his foot.
Slowly, the stone turned back into a woman! Ahalya opened her eyes and stood up. She had been forgiven at last.
"Thank you," she whispered, tears of joy in her eyes. "You freed me with kindness."
Everyone makes mistakes. Forgiveness helps them start again.
