The Jackal's Quick Thinking
A jackal was wandering near a village when a pack of dogs caught his scent.
He ran, but they were faster, and there was nowhere left to hide.
He darted into a washerman's yard and tumbled straight into a tub of blue dye.
Out he came, dripping and unrecognisable, and walked quietly past the barking dogs.
They sniffed at this strange blue creature and let him pass.
"Being lucky is fine," the jackal thought, "but keeping calm is what saved me."
