Shabari's Sweet Berries
Shabari wanted to give Rama the sweetest berries. She had no gold, only fruit from the forest.
To be sure they were sweet, she gently tasted each berry first and gave Rama only the best ones.
Some might have felt shy to offer simple berries. But Rama saw her big, loving heart.
He happily ate every berry. "These are the sweetest berries I have ever had," he said warmly, "because they are full of love."
Rama did not care about riches. He cared about the love in her gift.
A gift given with love is the most precious gift of all.
