When the people of Ayodhya heard Rama was coming home, they were filled with joy!

They wanted to welcome him in a special way. So they cleaned their homes and lit thousands of little lamps.

Soon the whole city sparkled with warm, golden light. Every window and doorway glowed brightly.

"Welcome home, Rama!" the people cheered, their faces shining like the lamps.

The city of lights welcomed Rama with the happiest, warmest welcome ever seen.
